Questions, answered plainly.
Why Circle
+Why use a baby tracker at all?
Because tired brains don't keep receipts. In the early months the same questions come round every few hours — when did she last feed, how long was that nap, when was the last nappy, did anyone give the medicine? A tracker answers those in a glance instead of a guess, and it gives you something useful to show a health visitor, GP or nursery when they ask how the last week has actually gone. It's not about optimising your baby; it's about taking the remembering off your plate.
+What makes Circle different?
Most trackers are built for one parent on one phone. Circle is built for the whole circle — you, your partner, a grandparent, a nanny, a friend — all seeing the same day in real time, included in one price. We also stay honest: we offer gentle nap and bedtime suggestions rather than pretending we can predict your baby, and there are no streaks, badges or guilt-trips anywhere in the app.
+Is this actually an app, and is it safe?
Yes, it's a real app — it just installs straight from this website rather than only through a store, so it opens from an icon on your home screen with no browser bar. It's safe: you're not downloading an APK or a file from an unknown source, so there's no scary security warning; your phone simply saves the app from circlebabycare.com. Your data is private to you and the caregivers you invite, and we don't sell data or run ads.
+Why is Circle only £1.99 a month?
Because we'd rather be affordable than have you hunting for savings somewhere else. That's around 6p a day, and it covers your whole circle — not per person. We keep it there by focusing on a small number of high-value, uncomplicated things and doing them properly, instead of padding the app with features nobody asked for. We also don't build affiliate or influencer commissions into the price. We'd rather rely on parents who actually use Circle to spread the word — and reward you for it (refer two friends who stay on after their trial and you get a month free).
+What's coming soon?
Our biggest focus is the Ambassador programme — trusted people with real experience (midwives, sleep specialists, health visitors, experienced parents) sharing practical, judgement-free support inside Circle. We're finalising an ambassador dedicated to fathers: how to cope emotionally, understanding your role, and the small practical things that genuinely help mum, caregivers and partners. Single-parent families are a big focus throughout. Alongside that: live sessions with specialists, and deeper support tools for the wider circle. You can read more on our Ambassadors page.
Getting started
+Do I need to install anything?
No install required — Circle runs in your browser and you can add it to your home screen in one tap on iPhone and Android, so it opens like a normal app with its own icon (no browser bar).
+Does it work offline?
Quick logs work offline and sync when you're back on signal — useful for those chaotic 4am moments when the wifi's asleep too.
+Can I track twins or siblings?
Yes. Multiple babies live on the same account with separate logs. Switch between them in a tap.
Apps & installing
+Will it work on both iPhone and Android?
Yes. Circle works on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and on any desktop browser — and it's the same account and the same live data everywhere. Your partner can be on an iPhone while grandma's on an Android and you're on a laptop; everyone sees the same day.
+What does 'install directly from the website' mean?
It means you don't need an app store. When you open circlebabycare.com on your phone you can tell your browser to add Circle to your home screen — your phone saves it as a proper app with its own icon that opens full-screen, works offline, and updates itself. No download, no file, no 'unknown source' warning, and it takes about ten seconds.
+Is Circle on the Google Play Store?
We're currently in the process of publishing Circle Baby Care to the Google Play Store — expect an update very soon. In the meantime you can install the app directly from this website onto your Android home screen (see 'How do I install it on my phone?' below) — it looks and behaves exactly the same.
+Is Circle on the Apple App Store?
iOS is on our roadmap but will take a little longer because Apple's process is more complicated. You don't need to wait — you can install Circle directly from this website onto your iPhone home screen today, and it opens like a normal app.
+How do I install it on my phone?
On Android (Chrome): tap the menu (⋮) in the top-right, scroll down and tap 'Install' (on some phones it shows as 'Add to Home screen' or 'Create shortcut'), then tap 'Install' to confirm. On iPhone (Safari): tap the Share icon and choose 'Add to Home Screen'. That's it — a Circle icon appears on your home screen and opens straight into the app, no browser bar.
+I'm on a laptop — how do I get it onto my phone?
Just type circlebabycare.com into your phone's browser and follow the install steps above, or send yourself the link by text, WhatsApp or email from your laptop and tap it on your phone. Either way you log in with the same account and everything's already there.
+Is it safe to install this way?
Yes. You're not downloading a file or an APK — your phone simply saves a shortcut to the app that runs from circlebabycare.com. There's no 'unknown source' warning and nothing to worry about.
Sharing with your circle
+How does sharing work?
Each baby has a short share code. Send it to your partner, grandparent, or nanny — they enter it when signing up and instantly see the same day.
+Do caregivers pay separately?
No. One subscription covers you, a partner, and up to 4 additional caregivers.
+Can I remove someone later?
Yes — from Settings, remove any caregiver at any time. They lose access immediately.
+What is the SOS button?
A red icon in the app header that lets you send either a gentle 'I need some support' request or a high-priority emergency alert to everyone in your circle, along with your current location so they can reach you. It's not a replacement for the emergency services — if life is at risk, call 999 / 911 / your local emergency number first.
Sleep & rhythm suggestions
+Does Circle tell me when my baby should sleep?
We offer gentle nap and bedtime suggestions based on age-appropriate wake windows blended with your baby's own patterns over the last two weeks — but they're suggestions, not prescriptions. You know your baby better than any algorithm. Illness, teething, growth spurts, hunger, a noisy day, a new tooth, or simply a bad afternoon can all shift the rhythm — and that's completely normal.
+How should I use the suggestions?
Treat them as a soft nudge, not a rule. The most important skill is learning your baby's tired signs — rubbing eyes, staring off, yawning, ear-pulling, grizzling, or a sudden burst of hyperactivity in older babies and toddlers. Trust those cues first. The suggestions are there to help on the days you're too tired to think.
+Why don't the suggestions match today?
Because babies aren't machines. A teething night, a vaccination, a hot afternoon, or a big developmental leap will throw the rhythm off — and it will settle again. We'd rather give you honest information than pretend we can predict a two-week-old's day.
Pricing & trial
+How does the free trial work?
10 days of the full app, no card details required. On day 10 you can start a subscription or walk away — nothing to cancel.
+What does £1.99/month cover?
Everything in Circle, for you and up to five others (typically a partner + up to 4 caregivers).
+Can I get a refund?
Yes — we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, handled through Stripe, our payment provider. See our Refund Policy.
Privacy & timezones
+Is my baby's data private?
Yes. Only you and the caregivers you invite can see your baby's log. We don't sell data or run ads.
+What if my family is in a different timezone?
Circle is timezone-aware. 8am reminders arrive at 8am your time, and grandma back home sees the day in her zone too.
+Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. You can request an export or full account deletion at any time from Settings.
Still not sure?
The 10-day trial is genuinely free — no card, no reminders to add one.
